July 23 day 11,

bon jour,
Today was a relax day for us. We did some laundry this morning and hung out for awhile.
We went uptown and did some shopping, got locks for are bikes and some alcohol for the sole.
We went down to the clock tower at the start of the harbor and climbed to the top 192 steps. Once u reach the clock workings u go up a spiral stair case to the very top, what a view of Montreal and the port. They also have aqua ducks here they are painted like Nemo. The rapids at the start of the harbor are fast and push boats toward the concrete wall. When we came in we had to power up to keep course. Sail boats have to head at an angle to make headway and I am sure they r at full power. It was a lite rain at dark so when we went up in town there was not any action so we headed back to the boat and right after we got in the rain came down, nice to sit dry watching people scurry around trying to stay dry.
Tomorrow we will head to the Ottawa river in route to Ottawa, which has a step of 8 locks leading to the city. Ottawa is 97 miles up stream so it will be a few days before we get there, oh that is right we are not on any time frame
