Today was a GREAT day for us.
We were up on the blue line(place u wait to get thru a lock) at 7:45 and found out the swing bridge and lock does not open till 8:45, oh well HEY(Canadian thing). No wind today and the weather was nice not hot with a lite breeze, again the canal was narrow and shallow. Then all of a sudden LAKES some looked like Champlain but still had a channel to follow but they had some beautiful homes hope they were not camps. There were many islands with one or two houses on them and I mean houses we Americans must be doing something wrong. We went across Indian Lake, Clear Lake, Sand Lake and Newboro Lake, actually could get the boat above 6 mph, took her up to 10mph to clean out some carbon and get rid of some weeds. We are in a place called Jones Falls, we traveled 38 miles today and went thru 12 locks and 2 swing bridges. It was a good day for us as we got some water and miles under our keel. We will take off early tomorrow and go thru 6 locks and reach Kingston, Ontario from there we will decide to hang out or head to start our trip up the Trent Severn which I mentioned earlier is 250 miles of canal and lakes and will bring us to the Georgian bay on Lake Huron.
Hey gotta go for now the ice cream store closes at 8pm and we want ice cream before dinner.
We are glad you are having a great time....but we still miss you a bunch!! Love Dylan and Abby
