Great night calmed down and did not pick up much wind till this morning. Now it is dark, windy and raining. We will probably be weathered in thru the weekend from the sounds of the forecast.
The Straits of Mackinac where we are heading next have high wind warnings out and it is about a 50 mile run for us. Lake Michigan is reporting 9 to 16 foot waves so I imagine there will not be much boat traffic over the Holiday for sure it won't be us. Once on Lake Michigan it is about 300 miles to Chicago and they say there are safe harbors every 20 miles or so. We both decided if we get a nice weather window some day we will make a long run of it and get as far as we can.
Well just hanging out getting a few things done while we wait.
